Eva Marcille
Growing up in Southern California, Eva Marcille’s family dubbed her “Eva the Diva” early on, because of her self-assured attitude and her eye for fashion. The young Eva was always the center of attention, and always managed to steal the spotlight from whomever it may have been on. As a child Eva had lofty ambitions for her ability to sway opinion—that of a Supreme Court Justice. An outstanding student with dreams of going to Law School, Eva had been in her junior year of college when she was selected to be a part of the third cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Eva won the competition over the other finalists proving that she deserved everything she worked so hard for.  Although America’s Next Top Model made her famous, Eva has been modeling and working longer than most people know. Eva’s acting career has also taken off and she served as the co-creator and producer of BET J’s hit fashion series My Model Looks Better Than Your Model. Presently, Eva is a series regular on the #1 daytime drama on television, CBS’s The Young & the Restless. Going on to Host Oxygens Hit show “Hair Battle Spectacular”, Eva landed her own Reality series on Oxygen “Girlfriend Confidential”.

Singer/songwriter Goapele broke out of the Bay Area at the beginning of the last decade determined to make a difference in the world of music.  Seamlessly blending genres while refusing to be limited by the “neo-soul” tag, the eloquent singer/songwriter completed her first release Closer in 2001 and never looked back. Embraced from the beginning by critics and fans alike, Goapele craved the perfect niche for herself as she created music that fused jazz, soul and hip-hop with her own beautiful poetry. Yet, while the Oakland native and former Berklee College of Music student has continued to grow as artist and live performer in the eleven years since her debut, Goapele is also known as a savvy businesswoman.  Not content to be merely another singer lost in the machine, Goapele’s follow-up recordings Even Closer (2002) and Change It All (2005) were released through majors in conjunction with her own independent label Skyblaze.  After taking off six years from recording, Goapele has returned to the forefront of the music scene with Break of Dawn, a collection of sophisticated songs dealing with love, loss and all the life in between.

The Hidden Beach All-Stars

Hidden Beach Recordings is a wholly independent record label distributed by Universal Music Group Distribution founded in 1998 by seasoned music industry executive Steve McKeever.  Hidden Beach was created by Steve McKeever to be a “brand” dedicated to releasing quality music with positive messages and as an artistic oasis for recording artists, new and established, to pursue their dream projects, unfettered by industry labels and boxes.  The vision for the label and the stellar reputation of its founder attracted a cream of the crop diverse consortium of investors led by none other than NBA Superstar and global sports icon, Michael Jordan.  Hidden Beach’s audacious introduction to the music industry came in 2000 when it released its inaugural project by poet/spoken word artist turned singer/songwriter Jill Scott called Who is Jill Scott: Words and Sounds Vol.1.  That debut release was not only certified double platinum, scored the label its first, of what would end up being many, Grammy nominations and other industry awards. Hidden Beach is also known for its series of groundbreaking, trademarked fusion of hip hop and jazz albums called Hidden Beach presents: UnwrappedTM.  Since its inception 14 years ago, Hidden Beach’s reputation and brand has attracted an eclectic mix of celebrities, superstars and icons to partner on a variety of creative projects, from the outspoken and controversial Dr. Cornel West, to pop (and now country) superstar Darius Rucker to gospel legend BeBe Winans, to rock icon John Densmore, founder of The Doors.  In January of 2014, Hidden Beach began the process of expanding its mission and has created Hidden Beach Experiences, a multi-media and multi-pronged entertainment company dedicated to delivering positive, high quality, eye-opening, mind and spirit nourishing, soul-infused and passionate entertainment experiences.  Hidden Beach Experiences will fill a void for the “orphaned consumer.”
